IYC Camp
Each summer, GCF
takes a group of kids to the
Iowa Youth Connection camp. IYC
began 20 years ago as the vision of three Iowa Youth Pastors who
believed that God wanted to do a big work in the youth of the
state of Iowa. They joined their groups together for a camp that
year and called it “Iowa for Jesus”. With the goals of forming
relationships, strengthening leaders, and having life-changing
ministry for teens, the heart and foundation for what would
become IYC was formed. As they continued to pursue God
year-by-year, more groups were added and the name was changed to
“Iowa Youth Connection”. Even as IYC continues to grow, it is
still lead by local church Youth Ministers from the Midwest, and
keeps local church youth ministry at the center of its focus. |

Super Bowl
Supper
On game day, we
congregate at the church for a potluck. Those who are interested
in the game can watch it on our huge LCD display screens; those
who aren't bring their own games and entertainment. |

Harvest Party
On Halloween, we
host a game night at the armory in Carroll. The whole community
is welcome to enjoy hot dogs, chips, desserts, games, and
fellowship with us. Kids are free to wear costumes, if they
choose, and everyone receives a treat bag without having to go
door-to-door in the cold! |

Live Nativity
During the festival
of lights at Swan Lake, we stage a live nativity outside the
Conservation Center. We hand out candy canes and accept
donations of stuffed animals for St. Anthony Regional Hospital
to give to children in the ER and who are admitted to the
hospital. Please come out and see us - it will be a blessing to
you and to the children of our community. |
